Then I duplicate the original. And use photoshop liquify and warp transform to make the initial shape of the head.
I then cut out each individual element from the original (non edited version) with a feathered edge and paste over the warped head. Again using, Liquify, Warp and transform and alter until I get the desired effect.
I.e I'll cut round the nose, stretch it, warp etc etc then do the same for mouth, eyes, eyebrows, ears etc.
Once all your elements are in place its just a case of cleaning up and finalising image with masking, erasing, cloning.
Finally I do a high pass sharpen to bring all the details back . [link]
